What is an IgG Food Allergy?
Your food intolerance is actually something we can scientifically measure. A Type-1 IgE food allergy causes a nearly immediate allergic reaction, it’s what could be called a “classic” food allergy. A Type-3 IgG food allergy could be delayed up to three days, making it much harder to identify what caused the reaction. ImmuFood identifies what triggers these reactions in your blood so you can prepare your diet accordingly.

We measure up to 270 food proteins to pinpoint your allergic intolerance

Hi. Still have questions?
Here are just a few of the things people ask us often.
Why our test is different?
Immufood is not a typical diagnostic center, we combined nutrition, technology and science to be able to give our clients the most comprehensive service in the market today. Our diagnostics are based on Imupro technology, a world leader in food allergy testing. Our test can provide up to 270 specific foods allergens which makes it the most complete test in the market today.
In addition to the test itself, our team of dietitians and chefs will provide you with personal recipes based on your test results with new recipes uploaded every month. Our team of dedicated dietitians and foodies are working on recipes for you monthly.
In addition, we also provide a chat with a dietitian after getting results, this is very important as we are not leaving our clients without answers to critical questions after getting results. This service is free for 3 weeks after the test.
How much does the test cost?
What is ImuPro and how reliable is the test?
ImuPro is the biggest food allergy test worldwide, based in 55 countries around the world. The company is based in Germany and their technology is the gold standard globally for food intolerance.
Immufood is using ImuPro technology and methods in the US out of our diagnostic lab at NC.
The test is performed using the ELISA method which is a well-established standard procedure in laboratory analysis. Our results are reliable and reproducible and are checked through regular quality controls in labs across different countries.
What exactly is the difference between IgG and IgE?
IgG stands for “Immunoglobulin G.” Immunoglobulins are the antibodies used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects such as bacteria and viruses. Everybody has IgG antibodies in their blood but occasionally these antibodies can start to react against foods. This is what can cause food allergies or delayed-onset food allergies (food intolerance). IgE mediated allergies (type I) are completely different from IgG mediated allergies (type III). An IgE allergy is a traditional “true” allergy where symptoms occur immediately, rather than delayed in the case of IgG food allergies. IgG reactions increasingly occur in case of a disturbed intestinal flora, but decrease if the change in diet is kept to. IgE reactions occur occasionally and remain for your whole life. Type I food allergies must be considered in addition to the ImuPro results when changing your diet, since the food tested positively for IgE antibodies must always be avoided.
Do I get consultation after the test?
Yes, you are not alone – After the test you have free 3 weeks chat support with personal dietitians. You also get personal recipes made just for you on a monthly basis the whole year:)

IgE Food Sensitivity: A Food Allergy
An IgE food sensitivity is what we normally think of when we think of a “food allergy.” Someone with an IgE food allergy tends to have an immediate and life-threatening reaction to food. Common IgE food allergies occur from milk, eggs, nuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish. People tend to have severe reactions right after they consume a particular allergen. If you have a food allergy and consume your food allergen, seek medical attention immediately.
At the doctor’s office, you can get tested for IgE food allergies via IgE allergy testing. This is performed under the oversight of your healthcare team and can consist of a skin prick test, oral allergen challenges and/or a blood test. If you suspect you have a food allergy, contact your doctor about doing IgE allergy testing. Unknown food allergies can be deadly.
IgG Food Sensitivity: A Food Intolerance
An IgG food sensitivity is otherwise known as a “food intolerance.” Food intolerance may go undiagnosed for years, if not decades. These types of food sensitivities do not cause immediate symptoms upon consumption of a trigger food. Instead, food intolerance can ail you for years with ambiguous, chronic symptoms that can only be relieved once trigger foods are removed from the diet.
Our food sensitivity home test is a form of IgG allergy testing. From this food sensitivity test, you will get results based on your reaction to up to 270 different foods, food additives, herbs and spices. With these results, you can create a plan with your doctor and registered dietitian on how to remove (and possibly reintroduce) these trigger foods from the diet. In some cases, people with a food intolerance can eventually consume their trigger foods after an elimination diet.
How our Food Sensitivity Testing Works
With the ImmuFood sensitivity tests, we send you a kit in the mail. In the comfort of your home, you extract a few drops of blood and send the kit back to us. We will then process the blood sample in our lab.
Upon testing, our Food Allergy Testing Center will compile a personalized list of possible foods to which you are intolerant. Along with the results, you will receive a plethora of information on how to analyze the results. As part of your package, you will also get online nutrition support if needed. Our comprehensive packages go beyond the results to give you tools on how you can manage your existing food intolerances. With the help of a registered dietitian, you can use these results as the foundation to confirming your food intolerances (and eventually treating them).
